Announcements

Congratulations-to Jacob Finley for winning the Alamo directory contest.  Also, congratulations to our Runners up: Isabel Khoury, Jason Liu and Sophia Khoury. Thank you for participating. 

·       January 11th-January 20th-Shop at any Sloat Garden Center location during Growing up Green week, mention Alamo school, and Alamo’s PTA will receive 10% of purchases back in the form of a Sloat gift card, which can go towards your school’s beautification projects, fundraisers or classroom activities beautification projects. The school with the highest participation will receive 20% of purchases back. Please note: Purchase of gift cards do not apply. Just mention Alamo to the cashier.  Thank you for your support!

·       January 16 @ 8:35 AM – 9:30 AM in the YMCA Bldg.-Gregory Duran, District Math Coordinator is coming to Alamo to discuss the Math program within our district.  He will explain the process by which 5th through7th graders are placed in Math in Middle school, specifically accelerated Math.

·      Family Reading Night- Tuesday, January 29th-6:30-7:30 p.m. in the library.  The theme is "Multi cultural".  If you can volunteer to read, please contact Michael Cabot at mcabot@gmail.com.  If you don't have any books to read, Mrs. Wehrley will set aside some books.  Thank you in advance for your help.

·      Volunteer opportunity-The PTA is looking for a chair or co-chairs to run the Spring Book Fair from April 12th until April 19th.  If you are interested or would like to know more, please contact Kristin Bush at bush_kristinL@yahoo.com.
