Principal's Message

The start of school is a distant memory by this time of year and we are looking forward to placing our mark upon the new year.  The past year was marked by great success as we were able to climb into the top 1% of schools in California based upon our state assessment scores.  We can certainly be proud of this accomplishment, but as a school community we know there is a lot more to be done.

We have set our sights upon the "other" half of the whole child that we as community have identified as our primary goal for 2017-2018 and beyond, this would include the climate, culture and character development at Alamo School.  We know that the journey may take as long as our journey to the top in academic performance, but it is just as important and critical to our work.  Our work would not be complete knowing there is much to do to improve our work.  In the months to come, I will be continuing to update our progress in this work. In the meantime, I am looking forward to all that this season brings to us, including the Hoedown Fall Festival, adopt-a-family for the Holiday Season, Holiday Workshop and opportunities to thank our volunteers.  Of course, the Holiday Season would not be the same without a concert or two!
